Day 1 | Wednesday 21 October: Arrival in Porto • Evening: Welcome to Portugal! Upon arrival at Porto Airport, our private airport shuttle will take you directly to our centrally located 4-star hotel. • Night: After checking in, we will enjoy a short evening walk to get a first impression of the city’s vibrant night atmosphere, followed by a welcome dinner at a local restaurant. Day 2 | Thursday 22 October: The Highlights of Porto • Morning & Afternoon: Today is dedicated to exploring the historic heart of Porto. We will discover the iconic sights during an immersive guided tour: o The stunning azulejo tilework at São Bento Train Station o The breathtaking panoramic views from the Clérigos Tower (Torre dos Clérigos) o The majestic Porto Cathedral (Sé) o The magical interior of the famous Lello Bookstore (Livraria Lello) o The lively and colorful Mercado do Bolhão • Late Afternoon: We will stroll through the charming medieval alleyways of the Ribeira district and cross the spectacular Luís I Bridge. • Highlight: We end our day on the water with a scenic 6 Bridges Cruise on the Douro River, enjoying the city views from a traditional boat. Day 3 | Friday 23 October: Port Wine, Views & Gastronomy • Morning: We cross the river to Vila Nova de Gaia for a fascinating visit to one of the world-renowned Port Wine Houses (such as Cálem, Sandeman, or Ferreira) for a standard tour and tasting. • Afternoon: Take in the best views of Porto via the Gaia Cable Car (Teleférico de Gaia) and capture the ultimate panoramic photo from the famous Serra do Pilar viewpoint. • Late Afternoon: We head over to the modern food hub, Mercado Bom Sucesso, a trendy indoor market perfect for tasting local delicacies, fresh snacks, and drinks. Day 4 | Saturday 24 October: The Cradle of Portugal (Braga & Guimarães) • Full Day: Today we head out of the city to explore two of Portugal's most historic and beautiful northern gems: o Braga: The religious capital of Portugal, where we will visit the magnificent sanctuary of Bom Jesus do Monte with its famous monumental baroque stairway. o Guimarães: The medieval birthplace of the nation. We will explore the beautifully preserved historic center and visit the legendary Guimarães Castle perched high on the hill. • Evening: After a full day of history and culture, our private transport will bring us back for departure or onward travel.
